Children's day is not merely a day for fun and games;it carries a profound message about the importance of nurturing the young generation with love,care and education.Pandit Nehru,fondly known as "Chacha Nehru" was a strong advocate for children's welfare,education and development. His birthday,November 14, was officially designated as Children's Day to honor his legacy.
Children's Day at Ekadaksha was celebrated in a dashing and vibrant manner.The whole day was party time for the children celebrating them for what they are.
Different themes were given for each class. The children and teachers of that class came dressed up suiting their theme.
Express A - Represented "YoYo Boys"
Express B - Came dressed up as "Cute Girls"
Experience 4A - Dressed up themselves as "Gaana Gang"
Experience 4B - Represented the corporate world,"The Boys"
First,the children displayed their artwork (painted imprints of their hands) and these hand prints were stuck on the display board.
Then it was time for the "Dashing party" - A colorful,vibrant ramp walk arranged for the children.Props to suit their theme were kept and children chose the props they liked. Beautifully dressed and adorned with the prop,children walked the ramp elegantly with their friends and teachers cheering them on.
The cute girls walked the ramp,dressed up in a cute manner with hats and caps. They gave an individual performance,followed by a cute duo ramp walk together.
Then came the Yo Yo boys,dressed up cool with jackets,jeans and coats along with yo yo props like caps,goggles,bracelets and chains. The boys looked super cool.They walked the ramp one by one,gave cool poses. After that they came as a group and rocked the stage with their Yo Yo poses.
The next group to walk the ramp were the "Gaana Gang".They dashed in with Gaana things and Gaana music. The first was an individual ramp walk with musical props - drums,jal jal,whistle.The children made a musical performance simultaneously producing rhythm with the instrument while walking the ramp.They clicked group picture with their teachers and friends too.
The last group to rock the stage was "The Boys", dressed up smartly in office attire,the boys walked the ramp displaying a corporate style. With files,laptop bags,mobile phones,the boys represented the busy corporate life.
It was fascinating to see our children do the ramp walk so independently.They were totally involved doing the show and enjoyed every bit of it.Click here to see the dashing party- ramp walk by ELC children.
The Teachers also gave a quick ramp walk in the end,celebrating themselves and cherishing the child within them.
Children's Day is a occasion not only to celebrate the innocence and joy of childhood but also to emphasize the collective responsibility of society to safeguard children's well-being and future.It is a call of action for parents,teachers and the community to provide every child with love,guidance and opportunities they need to become responsible,kind and educated citizens,thus ensuring a brighter tomorrow for the nation.
