The children had the complete movie watching experience right in our premises- from buying their ticket to watching a movie with an interval and sharing their thoughts on a vox pop.
This movie time was planned and executed by Ms.Akila,Special educator,ELC.
To prepare and make the children catch the excitement of watching the movie,announcement was given daily in the assembly 2-3 days before the event date.On the movie day, the movie hall was arranged with chairs in rows which were numbered. A real Ticket counter was set for the children to buy tickets.Children were given fake money to buy tickets.After the child paid the money,tickets were issued.At the entry point of the movie hall,one of our staff stood to check the tickets and directed them to the particular seat after checking the seat numbers. Once all the children and teachers got seated in their respective seats,the show began.
The children watched the movies "Dora the explorer" and "Andy's tale - a movie about a dog that assists people who need help". They also had a small interval in between.
The real time movie watching experience was brought in our own premises.Children loved this and had fun.Not only was this fun,this also prepares them for cinema going in the real world.
