Children's day, celebrated every year on 14th November to commemorate India's first Prime minister's love for children. Pandit Jawharlal Nehru loved children and his birthday became the occasion to celebrate children and childhood. Over the years, the kind of childhood each generation has is changing. Currently, technology and gadgets are playing an important role in child development. It has become a challenge to balance a natural lifestyle along with technology.
This Children's day, the children were given an important piece of childhood - Story telling. Our Special educator, Ms. Nithya, narrated and enacted a story," When sad became happy". Using animals as her protagonist, she showed how we can be compassionate and help a person deal with their sad and put a smile on their faces. She performed sounds and actions of each animal. The children enjoyed the story thoroughly.
After the story telling and a few minutes of relaxing, we had a disco dance party. Under disco light, all of us teachers, volunteers, helpers and children danced to the favourite tunes of Ekadaksha. It was a blast!!! A great fun time!!!
