12 years of uniqueness
12 years of working towards the vision of a society where children with special needs are accepted and respected for what they are. A world where they can move towards their aspirations and become independent, responsible adults.
Today was a festive mood at Ekadaksha. The children came to school dressed in their best clothes, some of them making their own choice too. The day began with the usual assembly and circle time after which it was partytime. Dance always goes with parties and thats what we did today. Dance, dance and only dance. The first part was to follow the teacher. Each teacher did a step and everyone else followed. Then altogether we performed the Jerusalema dance challenge. Next, a child and a teacher were chosen to dance together. We ended with free dance.
The day ended with the 'Happy birthday' song for Ekadaksha. The children relished yummy snacks from Disha's delight.
