ELC conducted its Summer camp 2014 from 21st April to 1st May 2014. It was filled with 10 days of 10 different ways for the children to Explore, Express and Experience. Each day brought out new and different talents of every child. Each child had their own favourite day. First was Friendship day, where the children were introduced to eachother and made friends. Then there was free play day to explore different toys, puzzles and books, while Art and craft allowed them to explore their creative colours.
The children enjoyed a story telling session by Ms. Tharini on Story day. They also enacted stories and played with different kinds of puppets. On photography day, children posed for photos taken by Ms.Karthiyayini and also learnt how to use a camera. Three young musicians (Mr.Praveen, Mr.Jinesh & Mr.Nilesh) performed for the children on Music day. Children made song dedications and enjoyed playing different kinds of music instruments.
On experiment day children watched and took part in various interesting experiments. Sports day involved fitness with fun. Our sporty children were introduced to indoor, outdoor and Indian traditional games.
Then it was time for a feast. On Fiesta day, the children made sandwiches and juice, which they relished later in the day. The grand finale was Dance day where all the children and teachers enjoyed some 'shaky shaky' moves. Children watched their friends and imitated their dances, they participated in finger dances and finally it was disco time:-).
10 days and 10 different ways of Exploring, Expressing and Experiencing - It was fun, learning and brought out the talents of every child.
