"How beautiful a day can be when Friendship touches it" - Yes,Beautiful friendships make our lives meaningful.Friends are a part of everyone's lives and Friendship day is a special occasion dedicated to cherishing the bonds of friendship.Celebrated on the first sunday of August,it is a special occasion to recognize and appreciate the unique role friends play in our lives.

At Ekadaksha Learning Center,Friendship day was celebrated with colours. 

Each child picked chits to choose a friend. The chosen ones shook hands and greeted eachother. Then each of them placed their hand print on a chart with a colour of their choice. The handprints made on the chart were so lovely with beautiful designs and color combinations.The friends pair then held their chart and posed for a picture together. The teachers of the center too left their imprints of friendship,by placing their handprints on a beautiful tree chart.A collage of the handprints of children and teachers adorned the notice board spreading the vibes of friendship all over the center.

The day of celebration also had a small peppy dance in which the children and teachers enjoyed dancing with joy for their favorite song 'Bum bum bole' from the movie 'Taare Zameen Par'. The children have learnt steps to the song and performed it very well. The children relished an additional treat by Ekadaksha's well wisher, special yummy snacks which included fresh homemade cakes,sandwich and chips.

In this fast paced world,where people feel isolated and busy all the time,the bonds of friendship is a means of joy,strength and support which acts as a soothing balm for any person.Nurturing the meaningful connections and spending time with friends can enrich our lives and together we can create a happy world for ourselves and others.
