Diwali or Deepavali - The festival of lights - is the biggest and brightest festival in India. Deep means "light" and Avali means "in a row". So during this festival, rows of lights illuminate every corner of India. The people of India make sweets and savouries, wear new clothes, light diyas, worship Goddess Lakshmi and burst crackers. The scent of Diyas fill the air, mingled with the sounds of crackers, joy, togetherness and hope.
The children and teachers of Ekadaksha lit a pretty decoration of diyas to light up the Center and bring in love and prosperity. Ram and Laxman explained abou the traditions of Diwali. After this, children were divided into their teams to play the Diwali relay game. Each team had to make bangle diya stands and light a diya to finish off. Each team played well and completed the task happily.
