The birthday of Lord Ganesha is always celebrated with great happiness at Ekadaksha. This festival indeed spreads happiness and prosperity among all present. The celebrations began with a puja wherein all the Clay Ganeshas were placed in front of everyone. Each class had made their own clay Ganesha. This activity had stimulated the senses and every child tried to explore the clay in their own ways - some wanted to cover their hands in clay and some just wanted to touch it lightly.
After this, the puja and aarti was done. The children clapped and played instruments to the tune of 'Jai Ganesha Deva'.
Then it was game time- THE LADDOO GAME... The children were divided into teams. Each team had to collect laddoos and put the laddoos in their team's barrels. Of course these were not real laddoos:-). The team that collected the most laddoos was the winner. The children had a blast running up and down to collect laddoos. At the end of the day, they children relaxed to Bhajans praising the Lord and enjoyed eating some real yumme laddoos.
