India celebrated its 79th Independence day on August 15th,2025.On this day,schools,colleges and community groups across the country organise flag-hoisting ceremonies and cultural programmes.The importance of Independence day lies in remembering the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters.It is a day for everyone to understand the value of liberty,responsibility and patriotism.
Ekadaksha Learning Center celebrated Independence day with pride and patriotism.The children actively participated in the March past followed by the flag hoisiting ceremony.The Tricolor National flag was hoisted by the Chief Guest, Mr.Hiten Joshi,Trustee of Ekadaksha Learning Center.
All the children took part in the programme,giving speech about our country,showing pictures about freedom fighters and performing dances for patriotic songs.
Raghavan of Express A class said, "India is my country", Safa of Express B said, "I love my country", Aravind of Experience 4A said that he is proud to be an Indian and Sanjeev of Experience 4B said, "Unity in Diversity". The children delilvered these single line speeches either verbally or on the Avaz communication app with guidance from their teachers.
They displayed pictures of freedom fighters. Deva of Express A showed Mahatma Gandhiji,Safa of Express B showed Anjalaiammal, Akshaya of Experience 4A showed Sarojini Naidu and Vishal of Experience 4B showed Kodi kaatha Kumaran.
Then came the dance performance by the children - Pranav Shiv and Pandi Ashok of Express A class danced for the tamil song "Jai hind".Holding the tricolor flag in hand,they gave a vibrant performance.Harshini and Deepak of Experience 4A class gave a kummi dance performance,clapping their hands along with their teachers for the song "Senthamizh naadu enum podhinile". Saipriyanthan and Saikhiran of Experience 4B class gave a peppy performance for the song "Kappaleri poyachu" song along with their class teachers.

After the performances,all the children and teachers sat together and listened to patriotic songs.Like how any other normal school children would participate and enjoy the Independence day celebrations,our children too understood and participated beautifully in the celebrations.
