HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY.JAI HIND...
The beauty and essence of the youth of our country is shown in this lovely artwork by one of our students. It says "Unity is strength" and at Ekadaksha, every one of us was united during this Independence day of India.
The children were dressed in the colours of our Indian flag - Saffron, white, green and blue. Each class - Explore, Express, Experience and the Pull out programme had coloured different parts of the flag. This was hoisted by making a collage of these parts. We then sang the national anthem, Jana Gana Mana. A simple game was played in which children picked different coloured numbers and matched them. And of course, no celebration is complete without music. We listened to patriotic songs while the teachers drew flags on everyone's hands. Click here to see our little patriots.
Gautham and Mitresh who attend remedial sessions at the Center, gathered information about our country and read it out to an audience. The audience consisted of their parents, teachers and other children. Mitresh spoke about the geography of India, while Gautham gave facts about the states and historical aspects.
