Onam is the festival of God's own country, Kerala. It is a harvest festival celebrated with great enthusiasm and is dedicated to the King Mahabali. It is believed that He visits the people to offer his blessings on this auspicious day. Ekadaksha was decorated with Poo kolams made by the teachers and children in the four colours - red, blue, green and yellow. The traditional lamp was lit to welcome King Mahabali and get his blessings.
After that we enjoyed the Kerala snack of banana chips. Yummyyyy!!! Then there was a fun game of 'Vadam Vali - Tug of war'. With the pleasing fragrance of fresh flowers around, the atmosphere felt wonderful with laughter, cheers, fun and blessings.
