Developmental issues
All children develop at different rates and in different environments. Some children have delays in development called development delays, which often slow down a child's development.
Development of cognitive skills, communication and social skills, behaviour or fine and gross motor skills may be affected. Sometimes these delays may indicate possible future learning difficulties.
However, with early intervention the child can improve. Delays can also be normal for your child, and he/she may catch up with her peers without the need for further intervention.
