What we do - Ekadaksha Learning Center Chennai - By Stephen Eastop

Diwali celebrations 2022, ELCDiwali, an important festival in India. A festival to celebrate the victory of good over evil. This Diwali was planned by our Teachers, Ms. Nithya and Ms. Komathi. The childern were dressed up is beautiful festive wear. Ms, Nithya narrated the Diwali story about the evil demon Narakasura who was defeated by God, thus removing evil so that we can spread good vibes around the world. The center was decorated for the Puja. Each child introduced the different things that we arrange during diwali - new clothes, oil for an oil bath, crackers, sweets and savouries. The lamp was lit and the Aarthi was done. Lighting the lamp signifies spreading of positivity and light around us.

It was then time for the 'Walk of light'. The children of each house - red, blue, green, yellow - walked the ramp. Each child was given flowers which they placed along with diyas to make the place a sparkling one. After posing in different ways like namaskaram, hi, holding hands, thumbs up, they got ready to dance. All of us danced to the Ekadaksha favourite tunes which was great fun.
