Celebrating Ganesh Chathurthi 2017 at Ekadaksha Learning Center, ChennaiGanapathi Bappa Moriya!!! Its Lord Ganesha's birthday and its time to honour the God of good fortune. Ganesha is considered the most beloved and friendly God. He is believed to be the 'God of beginnings' and the remover of all obstacles. On His birthday, people make or buy clay idols and decorate them beautifully. These idols are worshipped with prayers, flowers, modaks and His favourite ladoos.

At Ekadaksha, Lord Ganesha was welcomed by beautiful artwork and torans made by the children. After the Puja and Aarti, Ganesha visited the children in the form of a puppet. All the children were very enthusiatic and cheered on His entry. One of the boys volunteered to offer Ganesha His favourite sweet - The laddoo. And Oh wow!!! Ganesha was so so happy. He in turn blessed all the children with the touch of his trunk and danced with them to the tunes of "Oh my friend, Ganesha. Tu Rehna saath hamesha". Indeed, Ganesha will be in their hearts forever.

After snacks, the children and teachers played a Fun Ganesha Tambola. They were divided into four groups who had to fit in the missing parts of a picture of Ganesha. The one who finished their part first was the winner and so on, till this Artistic picture was completed. The day was filled with smiles, friends, and excitement as it ended with listening to Bhajans dedicated to the Lord.

Here are pictures of this happy birthday of Ganesha 2017.
