Movies - Cartoon,short films ,music videos are screened regularly once a term at ELC.This week,movie time was planned and conducted by Ms.Komathi,Special educator, ELC.A mock theatre set up was done to give our children the experience of watching movie in the real theatres.

A ticket counter was set up. The children came class wise to collect their tickets.Once they got their ticket tokens,one of our staff stood at the entrance of the movie hall,checked the tokens and guided them to their respective seats.Once all the children settled in their seats, the movie was screened.The movie screened was a short educational film called "Adithalam" which highlighted the importance of strong foundational reading/writing skills in the early phase of education.The characters portrayed in the movie were young boys and girls. The school environment,the emotions,conversations felt close to heart that all our children watched the movie with interest.

A short break was given after the movie.A snack counter with popcorn and potato chips was arranged as in the movie theatres.The children had to pay Rs.10/-(duplicate game notes) and choose one among the the two. Once all children finished buying snacks and they got settled in their respective seats the second session began with playing videos of film songs like  "Kannana Kannae", "Vaa vaa en devathaiyae" and Peppy/Dance songs - "Pavalamalli", "Pattam poochi" , "Alo bolelo".

A break from the mundane routine, an outing,a relaxing movie time is much required for everyone.This kind of movie time screened regularly at our center is a means to prepare our children to experience the movie in theatres with ease and comfort. This movie time was indeed one of the best ones,where our children experienced that relaxing,cool,best feeling.
