Cone stack game was planned and conducted by Ms.Komathi,Special educator,ELC.

It was a simple game and the teacher clearly explained the rules and method of playing the game by doing a demo. The game was played among the four houses - Red,Blue,Yellow and Green.

Two house children played at a time.Cones were kept at one end and at the other end a small chair was placed.Children sat in a row one behind the other, positioning themselves in two tracks. When the teacher signalled "start",the child sitting at the far end has to take one cone and place it on the side of the child sitting in front of him.The child has to take the cone and pass it to the next child and when the child sitting near the chair receives the cone,he has to place it on the chair and stack the cones on the chair.Six cones were given for each team and which ever team finish stacking all the six cones first was declared the winner.

The two winning teams of the first round, then played the finals and the final winner was chosen.

Though the game seemed to be a simple one,it involves a lot of coordination and team work among the children and teachers. Some children needed verbal prompts to pass the cone to the next child, while some children did independently. All children understood the rules of the game and played well with good team spirit.
