"Find the pebble" game was planned and conducted by Ms.Komathi,Special educator,ELC.
In this game ten pebbles were kept hidden in a big bowl of rice.Children had to search for the pebble from the rice bowl,run within the track and drop the pebble in an empty bowl kept at the other end of the track.The teacher explained the rules and gave a demo after which the children played the game as teams.
The express class children played against each other and the experience class children played against each other.Finals was played among the winners from each batch.
The game was played in relay format. A child from each team came,searched for the pebble,ran within the track and dropped the pebble in the empty bowl.After his turn,he sat and passed the turn to his teammate. Whichever team finished searching for all the ten pebbles and transfering them to the bowl first were declared the winner.
The game enabled the children to develop various skills in fine motor, visual, listening etc. They learnt to understand simple rules, search for the pebbles,pick up one pebble at a time,run in their particular track, drop the pebble,wait for their turn,cheer up their teammates and play as a team.
