"Magic art" activity was planned and conducted by Ms.Priya,Assistant Teacher,ELC.

This was a simple activity which was based on the concept of using stencils. The materials used were wooden puzzle pieces,charts and kolam powder.The children were given the choice of wooden puzzle pieces, for example - fruits,vehicles,shapes etc. These were used as stencils. A black chart was stuck on the floor in front of every child. The child kept the stencil on the chart and using a sieve sprinkled the white "kolam powder" over it.Once they removed the puzzle piece, the design appeared on the black chart. As they used different designs, they enjoyed seeing their designs popping up on the chart while the touch and feel of the kolam powder served as a sensory play.
