Mosaic art experiment was conducted by Ms.Komathi,Special educator,ELC.
The simple concept that, when oil paint is added to water and mixed well,it does not dissolve in water. Instead it form a beautiful layer of mosaic patterns on top of the water. The children explored this interesting concept. The teacher first explained and gave a demo. Then children were called class wise and did the experiment one by one. They poured water into the bowl, after which the teacher put a few drops of oil paints. Using a stick the children mixed this and then dipped a bottle into it. Once they took out the bottle from the mixture the bottle was beautifully decorated with the Mosaic pattern.
All these tasks were done independently by most of the children. A few children needed very mild prompts. They also enjoyed watching the experiment when their friends were doing it.
