About the organisation - Ekadaksha Learning Center Chennai

Celebrating Lord Krishna's birthday 2017 at Ekadaksha Learning Center, ChennaiKrishna Jayanthi, also called Janmashtami is a festival that celebrates the birth of little Krishna. People decorate Lord Krishna's Idol, draw little feet of Krishna, dress up little ones at home as Krishna and Radha, prepare snacks and sing bhajans with divinity and joy. The significance of Janmashtami is to encourage goodwill.  Lord Krishna was born as the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu to kill the evil and save the good.

At Ekadaksha, the celebrations started with garlanding a beautiful art work of Lord Krishna which was done by the children. The lamp was lit and the Aarthi was sung. The Children were divided into four groups and each performed a story about Little Krishna. They were dressed up and used different props. The stories conveyed different moral values. Krishna and yummy butter, Krishna and the snake, Krishna and Asura, Krishna and the fruit lady - These four stories were performed so well and with so much interest. After this, the children ate yummy homemade snacls and listened to bhajans.

-Goodwill will always win over evil--Goodwill will always win over evil-
